Straight, Straighter,...STRAIGHTENED!!

Thank God for Madam C.J. Walker for inventing the hot comb which has evolved into the modern day flat iron. I believe without this invention, us women would be traveling with cave woman hair thinking that un-flat ironed, frizzy, kinky, and wild hair is APPROPRIATE! Wheew…well we don’t have to worry about that, because as you look around everyone uses and owns at least three flat irons (in case of emergencies); celebrities, men, women, children, dogs, etc. However, the problem comes in with everyone not knowing HOW TO FLAT IRON HAIR!! Yes, I know what you’re thinking, “What? That’s absurd!” Believe it or not most of us women AND men actually have no idea of how to really flat iron hair to where it has volume, shine, and less damage from heat, but THAT’S OKAY…that is why I am here to fly to your rescue by posting these videos of how to CORRECTLY straighten your hair. The "NATURAL" Look

Okay, so I've noticed that my women of color are moving towards the "natural" look more than the "processed" look and that is absolutely gorgeous. Especially the texture of the hair, you can really tell the difference between hair that has been chemically processed and hair that hasn't...IT'S HEALTHIER. I am not saying everyone should go natural....I'm just saying that it's a good look and if the relaxers aren't really doing your hair justice..."then the natural way is the way to go". I am not natural, however, a good friend of mine is and one way she brings out the curls in her look is with leave-in conditioner and a very light oil. The curl that you have when your hair is freshly washed stays and the oil does a good job by keeping it moisturized, light, and shiny.

Whenever I think of beauty, the first thing that comes to mind is hair. I truly believe that a woman's hair is her glory. Well, since it's so darn special and important for our beauty...why not treat it with the best hair products and spruce ourselves with the most beautiful and luxurious hair styles? So I say, let's share the beautiful and creative hair styles that are out there and products that really makes a difference in the texture and look of our hair and transforms it for the BETTER! No, I am not a hair dresser and no I do not have a PhD in cosmetology, BUT changing my hair styles and trying new and different hair products is a big hobby of mind.
